Cost-effective installation - Less business impact
VIZOR is a microprocessor-based, electronic quick-opening accelerator.
Electronic doesn't mean complex - VIZOR has just one moving part, compared to the many
complex parts of a traditional mechanical accelerator.
For VIZOR, electronic means smart. The accelerator takes two pressure readings every second,
allowing it to differentiate between normal system pressure loss over time and the operation of a sprinkler.
Features
Roll over numbers for description...
1. The VIZOR Accelerator's unique air-pressure monitoring technology triggers on detection of a sustained drop in air pressure.
2. The accelerator immediately energizes its internal solenoid valve.
3. The energized solenoid valve opens to permit system air pressure into the intermediate chamber of the dry pipe valve.
4. The pressurized intermediate chamber trips the dry pipe valve to quickly flow water into the sprinkler piping.
5. Press once to test, press three times to reset

Benefits
Installer
• Faster trip time ensures your project is code compliant – with generally only 60 seconds for water to reach the most remote point in a dry system, every second counts
• Lower labor costs with easy installation and reset – compare this to the complexity of taking apart and resetting a mechanical accelerator
• Reduce valves and risers to save money – with SprinkCAD design software or Tyco Design Services, you can optimize you installation layout based on VIZOR accelerator's proven trip time performance
• Reduce false trips – VIZOR takes an air pressure reading two times per second to differentiate between normal changes in pressure and a steady drop in pressure signaling sprinkler operation
Engineer
• Faster trip time ensures your project is code compliant – with only generally only 60 seconds for water to reach the most remote point in a dry system, every second counts
• Optimize accelerator longevity — VIZOR has continued dependable performance even in corrosive salt-air environments that can shorten the lifespan of mechanical accelerators
Building Owner / Manager
• Reduce business impact with a simpler, faster, more dependable solution
- Less time your building is either under-protected in the
event of a fire or cannot be occupied,
depending on business policy
- Lower labor costs during off-hours installation and service
- Dependable performance – reduced false system trips
means fewer service calls and less business interruption
• Low-maintenance means service calls and inspections are quick and simple
Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
• Faster trip time ensures your project is code compliant – with generally only 60 seconds for water to reach the most remote point in a dry system, every second counts
• SprinkFDT software can calculate system trip time and is UL and FM approved – with this calculation you can verify a system meets code without a site visit for a physical trip test
